Pilates is a form of exercise that strenghtens and lengthens the muscles of the body. If you're deciding whether or not to take up Pilates, then this site is for you! We have information, testimonials, articles, books and equipment. - all things Pilates.

Who are we? Good question! I'm a working-at-home mum, with two children and found that after having my kids, my poor, not that old, unfit body was wrecked and definitely going downhill. After trying a few other types of exercise, I tried Pilates - and I LOVED it! It works the mind and the body, it's a great exercise to relax with because you have to concentrate and that also helps with the boredom factor ie it's not boring.

I currently do Pilates 3 times a weekm thanks to my amazing husband who looks after the kiddies while I'm away, and the results are fabulous. I do a combination of mat pilates and equipment pilates and even though I've only lost 10 pounds, I'm leaner, fitter and stronger than I've ever been. My movements are more fluid and confident and my back pain is gone. It's because of these results that I've been able to stick to it and as a result, it's also been good for my self-esteem .

My Pilates instructor, Scott Williams from Ocean Fitness, Sorrento, Australia, has been kind enough to write me some articles on how Pilates works the body. Erin, my other Pilates instructor has been a great support of this site and has modelled some Pilates moves for you to see.
